The intent of the fast is more important than the method of the fast. Our intent is solely to focus our attention on Jesus through prayer and worship.

Q: When does a fast begin/end?
A: A 24-hour fast begins the night before and culminating on the evening of your prayer/fast day. For example, if your fast day is March 22, your fast begins on the night of March 21 and ends on the evening of March 22.

Q: What should I do during this fast?
A: During this day, the time you would dedicate to what you’re fasting from (see types of fasts below) is committed to focusing on Jesus through prayer and worship.

Q: What are some examples of a fast?
A: Here are a few examples of types of fasts:

  • Water only

  • Juice only

  • Fast from sugar

  • Fast from social media, devices

  • Fast for one meal
